In recent years, Barcelona has witnessed a remarkable resurgence in demand for vintage and second-hand fashion. A clear reflection of this trend is the impressive 27% increase in the number of second-hand fashion customers in Barcelona.
This phenomenon has not only led to the expansion of well-known stores, such as Humana, but has also spurred the creation of unique events that celebrate the diversity and authenticity of retro fashion.
A prime example is the Flow Y2K Street Market, which returns for its second edition on December 17, 2023 at Espai 88 in Poblenou.
A vintage fashion market with its own identity
The Flow Y2K Street Market, which successfully debuted last October, has established itself as an essential meeting point for vintage fashion enthusiasts.
Organized with the vision of becoming a showcase for new fashion proposals and a space for direct interaction between designers and fashion lovers, this market has captured the essence of a bygone era while embracing innovation and contemporary creativity.
The second edition of Flow Y2K Street Market promises to exceed expectations with more than twenty stands full of national and international proposals.
Well-known brands such as Makeo, Grain Clothing and Aerobic Vintage will join the celebration, offering a wide variety of garments and accessories that capture the essence of the 2000s and vintage fashion.
The event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., not only offers fashion, but also live music from DJs such as Enzo Fontcuberta, Mixed Dubles, Agila777 and Dulce, who will close the festival with a two-hour set full of energy and rhythm.
New products that arouse curiosity
New this year, the Flow Y2K Street Market will expand its offerings to include a space dedicated exclusively to independent design. A dozen designers, including names such as K-Bye, Tripoloski and Nena, will have the opportunity to present their proposals directly to visitors.
This new approach seeks not only to showcase the unique creations of these emerging designers, but also to foster a direct connection between creators and consumers.
With an entrance fee of only 2 euros, the Flow Y2K Street Market is presented as an accessible event for all fashion lovers.
Tickets are now available on the market’s official website, offering attendees the chance to secure their place at this feast of fashion and creativity. Those who prefer to buy their tickets at the box office on the day of the event will be able to do so for a slightly higher price, only one euro more.
