In an event full of enthusiasm and festive spirit, FC Barcelona women’s first team players Mariona Caldentey, Keira Walsh and Salma Paralluelo delighted hundreds of fans at the Meet&Greet held at the Barça Store in Passeig de Gràcia.
This meeting, now a tradition during the Christmas season, has allowed fans to get closer and share special moments with their sports idols.
The event was particularly emotional, as fans had the opportunity to get autographs, talk and take pictures with Mariona, Paralluelo and Walsh. The warmth of the reception is evidence of the unique connection between the players and FC Barcelona’s passionate fan base.
Celebration at the Barça Store at Passeig de Gràcia
In addition to personal interactions, the three players participated in a photo shoot where they wore exclusive pieces from the FC Barcelona Memorabilia project’s jewelry collection. These jewels, entitled ‘Ple d’Història. Ple de Futur’, are unique pieces containing diamonds extracted from the lawn of the former Spotify Camp Nou.
Available exclusively at the Barça Store and the club’s online store, this jewelry represents an innovative and sustainable initiative that seeks to give a second life to emblematic elements of the stadium.
The collection of ethical and sustainable diamonds is a historic milestone for FC Barcelona. Sourced from grass carbon from the last game of the previous season, these diamonds are created using high-tech crystallization processes and renewable energy.
Each piece is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity detailing the origin of the carbon, the characteristics of the diamond and the certification of the series. Among the products available for purchase in the store are one-carat diamonds, 0.50-carat diamonds, as well as 0.10-carat badges, and necklaces and bracelets with diamonds taken from the Spotify Camp Nou lawn.
A sporting event
This festive match took place two days before the women’s team’s highly anticipated match against Rosengard Women on Matchday 4 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The Johan Cruyff Stadium was the setting for this exciting clash on December 21.
The Memorabilia initiative, which seeks to keep the stadium’s history alive through emblematic objects, has won over fans and sustainability enthusiasts alike. The ability to purchase diamonds that encapsulate significant moments on the Spotify Camp Nou turf reinforces FC Barcelona’s commitment to innovation and preserving the club’s legacy.
The Meet&Greet at the Barça Store in Passeig de Gràcia was not only a sporting event, but also a celebration of the unique connection between the players and their fans. Surely one of those unforgettable moments.
