Use of sustainable means

In these places, two specific areas will be set up, so that the general public can follow the evolution of the space races, which will have giant screens. So, it must be done by sustainable means, it will be reached on foot, by bicycle or public transport. This means that there will be restrictions on the use of private vehicles, motorcycles and cars.

The City Council has prepared a series of measures in its mobility strategy.

It should be noted that the City Council has prepared a series of measures in these areas such as walking, travel by private vehicle, travel by bicycle or VMP. And, of course, very important are the guarantees of access for workers and neighbors.

Of course, it must be taken into account that the regatta calendar does not foresee competition on two important dates. These dates coincide with the celebration of the America’s Sailing Cup, that is, the National Day and the Mercè.

It should be noted that this mobility strategy does not plan to hold any regattas on September 11 or from September 20 to 24. However, the dates mentioned appear in the booking calendar. This is because the development of the competition is subject to the state of the sea and the wind. Therefore, the organization has a margin of dates to reserve in order to make changes on the fly.
