The Barcelona restaurant Disfrutar awarded by the British ranking The World’s 50 as the best restaurant in the world. This celebration took place in London on June 5th. Second place goes to Asador Etxebarri
In second place is Bittor Arguinzoniz’s Asador Etxebarri in Axpe, Biscay. It is now the second best on the planet, climbing one position in the ranking, and third was Table by Bruno Verjus, in Paris, after climbing 8 positions.
Another great achievement for Spanish gastronomy has been the rise of Quique Dacosta, the chef of the same name in Denia (Alicante) in the ranking, which climbs from 20th to 14th place. On the other hand, the great grill that has been part of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants for many years, Aitor Arregi’s Elkano in Guetaria (Gipuzkoa) went from number 22 to 28.
