Bridal fashion has an appointment every year in Barcelona and 2023 is no exception. The new edition of Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW) will take place from April 19 to 22 in the city with the participation of 33 renowned brands.
The event is one of the most important in the world of bridal fashion.
It is a catwalk dedicated exclusively to wedding dresses, groom’s suits and fashion for ceremonies, where the trends and collections of the most important designers of the sector are presented.
In the 2023 edition, the new products for the 2024 season will be presented.
The event will be attended by 33 renowned firms, including Rosa Clará, Atelier Pronovias, Sophie et Voilà, Yolancris and Isabel Sanchis, among other leading Spanish brands.
In addition, the catwalk will feature renowned international designers such as Cymbeline (France), Agnieszka Swiatly (Poland), Marylise & Rembo Styling and Carta Branca (Belgium), The Atelier Couture by Prof. Jimmy Choo (Malaysia), Julia Kontogruni (Bulgaria), Demetrios (Italy), Carlo Pignatelli (Italy), Modeca (Netherlands) and Katy Corso (Ukraine).
Bridal Fashion Week and young talents
The Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week catwalk will also present the young talents of the bridal fashion world. Among them, Andrea Lalanza, Mireia Balaguer, Poesie Sposa and More (Italy) and Joli Poli (Vietnam) and others.
In addition, up to nine designers will debut on the Barcelona catwalk this year.
The Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week runway not only focuses on presenting the latest trends in bridal fashion, but is also dedicated to innovation and sustainability.
For this reason, VIP attendees, media and bridal industry professionals will be able to view more than 850 bridal, groom and ceremony gowns in total.
In addition to the fashion shows, all the participating companies will also be part of the BBFW trade fair, with the offer of some 300 brands, 75% of which are international from 30 countries.
In this edition of BBFW, there will be a surprise for attendees: the Barcelona Bridal Night will feature a fashion show of a globally acclaimed Haute Couture brand, although the name, date and location of the presentation have not yet been announced.
A trend platform
The Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week event will be the best platform to showcase the latest trends in bridal fashion.
This year will focus on sustainability and innovation in the design of wedding and ceremony dresses.
More than 1,000 international buyers are expected to attend, reaffirming the importance of this event in the bridal fashion industry worldwide.
