Just as the best bars in the world are highlighted, there is also an award for the best discotheques and clubs. It is “The World’s 100 Best Clubs” which in its 2022 version has the participation of outstanding nightclubs in Catalonia that aspire to be the best in the world.
Perhaps among the postulated ones is one where you have danced and shared good times.
This year, Catalonia is the community that submitted the most clubs for the award. There are 16 Catalan nightclubs that are participating and that are part of the 58 Spanish venues nominated.
A total of 260 venues from 44 countries are participating in the 2022 edition. From these, the top 100 will be chosen and will be part of the final list to be announced on November 8.
The World’s 100 Best Clubs
This event is promoted by the International Nightlife Association. They returned after the pandemic, when the vast majority of nightlife venues around the world had to close.
In fact, of the clubs awarded in 2019, 16 of them had to close due to confinement.
This year, the majority of the Catalan locations that applied are located in Barcelona.

The deadline for submitting nominations was open until August 25.
The voting period was extended from September 1 to October 15, in which the public can also participate.
Subsequently, from October 16 to 31, a panel of experts will analyze all the factors to be taken into account to choose the best.
These include the 2022 artistic programming of the clubs, the VIP area of the venue, additional security measures, as well as the availability and capacity for online reservations.
They will also analyze the quality of the site’s service, its activity in social networks, any national or international awards it has won, acoustic quality and soundproofing, among other aspects.
In this way, the professional jury will have a system for counting the points awarded to each factor analyzed. In the end, they will be added together with the public vote to choose the winners.
The final list of the 100 winners and the coveted first prize will be announced on November 8, 2022, during the 8th International Nightlife Congress and the 7th Golden Moon Awards Gala.
