Barcelona welcomes Christmas with its traditional Christmas markets, full of unique products and activities to enjoy with the family. Among them, the Sagrada Familia Christmas Fair and the emblematic Fira de Reis on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes stand out. These events are consolidated year after year as essential places to immerse yourself in the festive spirit.

The Sagrada Familia Christmas Fair, one of the oldest and most beloved markets in the Eixample, reopens its doors this year from November 23 to December 23. Located in the Sagrada Familia square, it offers a complete Christmas experience with typical products, decorations and recreational activities.

The market has 74 stalls organized in four main sectors:

  • Green Sector: 15 stands dedicated to the sale of fir trees and Christmas plants.
  • Nativity scenes and traditional figures: 30 stops offering classic Christmas decorations.
  • Food: With 9 stands of products such as chestnuts, churros and sweets.
  • Gifts: 20 stalls with handicrafts, jewelry and clothing ideal for gifts.

In addition, this market is not only a place for shopping, but also a place for family gatherings. The toy library offers games and themed activities during the week, while special events such as carol singing and a photocall with children’s characters are scheduled on weekends.

Fira de Reis in Gran Via a tradition that never fails

From December 14, the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes is transformed with the arrival of the Fira de Reis, which will run until January 6. This Christmas market occupies the stretch between the side lanes of Muntaner and Rocafort and gathers 175 stalls with products of all kinds.

The stops are distributed in different categories:

  • Toys: 39 stalls offering everything from traditional toys to stuffed animals.
  • Gifts: 69 stands with handcrafted products and objects to give as gifts.
  • Crafts: 26 stalls dedicated to Catalan crafts.
  • Churrerías: 11 points distributed throughout the fair.
  • Casetas: 30 additional stops to explore.

This year, the illumination is once again the protagonist. Lighting structures and chains have been installed to fill the market with reflections and colors, both during the day and at night. In this edition, the Fira de Reis will have eight new lighting structures, making it even more attractive.
