Great concern about the mathematics results in the selectivity exams in Catalonia presented between June 4 and 6. According to preliminary data, 97.01% of the Catalan students who took this compulsory phase of the University Entrance Exams (PAU) managed to pass with an average mark of 6.747 out of 10.

These results, broken down by gender, show that 97.01% of these, 19,611 women and 14,349 men (97.02%), were able to pass the compulsory phase.
Mathematics results: 42,550 students enrolled
A total of 42,550 students registered for this test, and only 41,736 finally took the exam. It should be noted that 33,960 of these 33,960 took the exams in these five subjects of the general phase, which must be passed in order to be admitted to university.

Mathematics results with the lowest average score
As for the specific phase, 3,009 high school students passed (82.87%) and 2,361 came from higher education cycles, which corresponds to a percentage of 63.47%. While the subjects evaluated, the results of mathematics with the grade obtained (4.87) the lowest average grade.
On the other hand, the subjects with outstanding grades include a 6.62 in Catalan Language and Literature, a 7.07 in English and a 6.94 in Spanish Language and Literature.
