The renowned owner of the Crosstown Rebels label, discoverer of talents, presents himself in Barcelona. This is the famous London-born DJ and producer Damian Lazarus who with his incredible mixes and techno/electronic/dance music will get the whole city dancing. Damian Lazarus’ fantastic show at Input will be next Friday, October 18th.
The show will take place during the night at the famous Input High Fidelity Dance Club, the cathedral of techno with an open-air industrial atmosphere (Avda. Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia 13, Barcelona). It is sure to be an extraterrestrial, sensory and acoustic experience.
A magical night that begins as soon as you cross the emblematic door that separates the medieval of the architectural museum Poble Espanyol with the industrial atmosphere of the open-air club.
The Lazarus show is not just about music. It is spectacle, creativity and art on the same stage. That’s why you can’t miss it.
Damian Lazarus: the artist
Damian is a true expert in spreading his musical magic around the world. Their performances during 2019 have been focused on re-releasing their first album, “Smoke the Monster Out”, ten years after released. In addition, the presentation will be accompanied by a psychedelic film that follows in the footsteps of his short film “Heart of Sky”, directed by filmmaker Jessy Moussallem.
During the 2000s Lazarus was starring in the UK dance music scene. In fact he was head of A&R for the City Rockers label and was responsible for the UK release of singles such as Felix da Housecat and Miss Kittin’s “Silver Screen Shower Scene” and Tiga & Zyntherius’ “Sunglasses at Night”.
He also selected and mixed beats that brought techno and house together at the time. He subsequently released mixes under his label Crosstown Rebels, CR, as Rebel Futurism Session One, Session Two and Crosstown Rebels, vol. 1.
He was also a producer with releases on Get Physical. By 2009 he ventured into the film world with his first feature film, Smoke the Monster Out and a year later continued to reap success as a DJ with the release of volume 54 in the Fabric mix series.
