Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro, two of the most influential artists in Latin music, have released their new music video called ‘Vampiros’, an ode to the Barcelona nightlife.
The song is part of their joint EP, “RR” and in it, both artists talk about “going out at night and coming in during the day” and what nights in the city are like.
The music video was filmed in some iconic locations in Barcelona, including Bar Marsella and Xurreria J. Argilés.
Bar Marsella, founded in 1820, is one of the oldest taverns in Barcelona. During its history it has been frequented by artists such as Dalí, Picasso and Gaudí.
In addition, Hemingway used to visit the place frequently, so it has become an emblematic place in the city.
The video clip “Vampiros” by Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro
It shows when the two artists sneak into the establishment through a half-lowered shutter to order absinthe, a characteristic drink of the place.
In the scene, you can appreciate the decadent and bohemian decor of the place, with antique marble tables, wood paneled walls and crystal chandeliers that illuminate the place.
After your visit to Bar Marsella, the party continues at Churrería J. Argilés, a churrería that every Barcelonian who has been to the bars in Marina or near Razmatazz recognizes.
In the video clip, Rosalía and Rauw satiate their appetite in this place before getting into a car to drive home along a road surrounded by trees.
The final location of the video clip is Espai Corberó, a labyrinthine and ghostly building designed by sculptor Xavier Corberó, which Woody Allen chose to be the workshop of the painter, a character played by Javier Bardem in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”.
The mansion fits perfectly with the theme of the video clip, with its gothic and mysterious look.
“Vampires” is a tribute to the nightlife of Barcelona, where you can appreciate some emblematic places of the city.
Recording in these places represents a recognition of the history and culture of the city.
Espai Corberó: a unique space in Barcelona for culture and art
The cultural space Espai Corberó is an attractive place for the city of Esplugues de Llobregat and, of course, for the Catalan capital.
The city has always been a center of culture and art, and Espai Corberó was designed by sculptor Andreu Corberó, which gives it added value.
Corberó is a renowned artist in the Barcelona cultural scene.
Espai Corberó’s connection with culture and art is evident.
Rosalía, an artist born in Barcelona and trained in the city, used the Espai Corberó as a stage for the video clip of her song “Vampiros”.
