Over the years, Escena Poblenou has promoted reflection and social transformation through various disciplines of the performing arts.
Escena Poblenou Festival
The festival offers the opportunity to meet some of the most interesting proposals of the contemporary scene. This from the latest creations of new talents and already recognized creators. In this 23rd edition, the event will take place from October 17 to 20 in different emblematic spaces of the neighborhood. For example, the Sala Beckett, the Centre Moral i Cultural del Poblenou, the Plaça de Can Framis and l’Espai Niu. Each of these venues will host a selection of works that explore new languages, dramaturgies and approaches to stage creation.
One of the most important actors in the collaboration with the festival is the Centre Cívic Can Felipa. It has become an essential ally of Escena Poblenou. In this edition, the CC Can Felipa will be the starting point of the Embrions#11 project, an initiative that allows to discover pieces in the process of creation.
