Several shows will be performed during the New Year’s Eve festivities at the Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona, a scenic space of excellence.
It is Zebra, a show by the Italian dancer and choreographer Silvia Gribaudi that will be presented from 27 to 30 December 2022 at the Sala MAC (Maria Aurèlia Capmany) of the Mercat.
The staging narrates an amusing reflection on power and the game of manipulation through two dancers, a clown-actor and two acrobats.
This fun and versatile choreographer had great success with Performing Arts at the Teatre Juventud de l’Hospitalet in the Quinzena de la Dansa Metropolitana in 2021.

The Protagonists
Also, from December 27 to 30, 2022 and on January 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8, 2023 at the Sala Ovidi Montllor del Mercat, the children’s show “Los Protagonistas” will be presented. It is a play for children between 7 and 11 years old performed by the contemporary dance-theater company “El Conde de Torrefiel” of Tanya Beyeler and Pablo Gisbert.
It is a theatrical piece that takes place in five different spaces and allows small spectators to discover magical remote lands through mobile installations.
Plàncton of Big Bouncers group at Mercat de les Flors
It is another exciting experience for children from 3 to 10 years old. Plàncton refers to the microorganisms that inhabit the seabed. They are beings that allow themselves to be dragged and that inspired the creators to create a dance piece in which the bodies emit light and remain in suspension. This show will be presented at the Sala Pina Bausch on January 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2023.

This is a show for children, offered by the Madrid group Aracaldanza. It is aimed at children from 6 to 12 years old. According to its creator, Enrique Cabrera, the show is a love letter to the stage machinery. Something like a tribute to the dancers, machinists and electricians: to all the human team that makes a show possible and that the little ones will be able to see on stage.
The initiative developed by “Explica Dansa” led by the artistic producer Beatriu Daniel and the dancer Toni Jodar, will also offer next Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 13h a conference danced among the books. This conference, which aims to make the public and artist end up dancing, will be held at the Ona Bookstore.
Many artistic and scenic proposals for the whole family to share and close this 2022 with joy, smiles, dance and magic.
