Gastronomic Forum Barcelona, the benchmark event for hospitality, specialized trade and gastronomy professionals, is ready for its 2023 edition and promises to be the biggest to date.
The event will be held from November 6 to 8, 2023 at the Fira Montjuïc exhibition center in Barcelona. This edition features a strong focus on transformative cuisine committed to the preservation of biodiversity.
Discovering Catalan cuisine
It will feature nearly 120 activities and will become the epicenter of world gastronomy with the participation of more than 200 chefs, pastry chefs, sommeliers and other experts in the field.
Gastronomic Forum Barcelona will be the largest edition in its history, with the presence of more than 350 exhibiting companies, a growth of 20% compared to the previous edition held in 2022.
Gastronomic Forum Barcelona 2023: a commitment to biodiversity
This edition will highlight the gastronomy industry’s commitment to sustainability, biodiversity protection and social transformation.
More than 100 participating chefs will present initiatives related to the use of local products, the recovery of traditional processing methods and the fight against food waste.

Michelin stars and sustainable gastronomy
A highlight of this edition is the participation of restaurants with a total of 55 classic Michelin stars and 11 green Michelin stars (V).
The latter recognize establishments that work to preserve the environment through efficient resource management and waste reduction. This focus on sustainability and committed gastronomy reflects the industry’s evolution towards more responsible and environmentally friendly practices.

New trends in the kitchen
Gastronomic Forum Barcelona 2023 will also serve as a platform to explore new trends in cuisine. Internationally renowned women chefs who propose work models that emphasize work-life balance and integration in restaurants will be given a voice.
The event will also feature the participation of chefs who will share their experiences in the new pantry, which involves the recovery of traditional preserves and the promotion of new preservation techniques in the local culinary culture.
Innovation and creativity in the kitchen, along with environmental awareness, are key themes in this edition of Gastronomic Forum Barcelona.
Fire as the cooking method par excellence and liquid gastronomy will also be highlighted. As part of the event, fermented beverages and other liquid dishes from its menu will also be prepared, highlighting the importance of liquid gastronomy in the gastronomic industry.
