Undoubtedly, one of the pleasures of life in which most people agree is to enjoy a delicious dish outdoors, either on a terrace or on a balcony with an unbeatable view. Perhaps you are familiar with contemplating the immensity of the sea on a summer night at the Olympic Port?
We know that you will not be able to resist to live an experience of this kind, and that is why we tell you that in 2024 it will be a reality. Apparently, the City Council intends to replicate all those sensations we have just mentioned, through a reform of the Olympic Port, which is said to have a spectacular “Gastronomic Balcony” where visitors can find high-level food in a unique environment.
The reform of the Olympic Port, a debt pending with citizens
It is well known that the Port has been crying out for renovation for some time now. The time has come for it to be reborn, and that is why the project includes 11 restaurants, three gourmet spaces and around 24,000 square meters of haute cuisine.
This will allow a 180° turnaround for the area, which has been gradually experiencing an unfortunate decline. And this is due, to a greater extent, to the fact that this is a restaurant and nightlife area that has focused more on tourists than on local customers, the latter being of the utmost importance to give the project the impetus it needs.
Spaces for the enjoyment of the people of Barcelona
The specific location of the space in question will be in the Moll del Gregal. The intention is that the premises to be installed there will have open spaces, with plenty of light and the fresh air of the place.
What we can tell you, for now, is that the lower floor will have seven restaurants and three food stores.
On the other hand, and perhaps one of the most interesting features of the project, is that the top floor will accommodate four restaurants, each of which will feature photovoltaic panels with green roofs that will not go unnoticed.

The intention with the above is to be able to create a fluid connection between both levels – upper and lower. To achieve this, the design proposes the construction of plazas, stairways and skylights that will provide natural light at all times of the day.
It is also known that there will be a change that will surely be very attractive for locals and visitors.
That said, it is foreseen that its main access will be directly from the beach and will lead from there to the gastronomic promenade. With this, the City Council intends to change the face of the place, since they also contemplate reforming the promenade and in this way they will make the people of Barcelona connect all their senses with this port.
