The fourth edition of Nadal al Port in Barcelona will have as its main attraction an ice rink to celebrate Christmas and the end of the year festivities.
The event will take place between December 5 and January 6, 2023. The inauguration will take place on December 5 at 7:00 p.m. during the traditional Christmas lights switch-on.
During the inauguration, in addition to the lighting of the lights, the singer Edu from the program “Eufòria” will perform at 7 pm. Also on stage will be the Cors de Palau Vincles and the Cor Mitjans de l’Orfeó Català, performing traditional pieces.
And while the date arrives, a giant luminous ball, a star and the Ferris wheel have already been lit as a preamble to the inauguration.
This year’s Christmas lighting will have more than 85,000 LED lights installed on the lampposts of the Moll del Dipòsit, as well as on the promenade Joan de Borbó along with the large Christmas ball that can be walked inside.
During the Nadal al Port in the maritime area, there will be a nativity scene and the Three Wise Men that will illuminate the water, as well as historic boats from the Museu Marítim.
These attractions can be visited during the opening hours of Nadal al Port:
Open daily from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. As for the light show, it can be seen every day from 5:30 p.m. onwards.
The ice rink at Christmas in Nadal al Port
The great novelty this year in the event organized by the Port of Barcelona in the Moll de la Fusta, is the sustainable and ecological ice rink of 400 m2 of surface, ideal to enjoy with the family.
But also for the little ones there will be other attractions such as the old carousel and the little train, as well as the traditional wheel of 65 meters high.
Everything will take place within the framework of the Christmas market, which will be a meeting point for music schools and organizations from the port’s neighboring neighborhoods that will perform on the Nadal stage with different musical samples and performances.
Around 500 people will perform on the main stage during the Christmas Market celebration. The stage will also host the Ballada Solidari which seeks to raise funds for La Marató de TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio whose objective this year is to promote cardiovascular health.
The Port of Barcelona is seeking this year, under better conditions of normality, to expand the Christmas offer in the Catalan capital. The idea is to promote culture, create illusion in these times and bring the maritime heritage closer to the citizens.
They also seek to consolidate the Moll de la Fusta as a good meeting place for citizens, in which the port-city relationship is strengthened.
