On the beautiful beaches of Port de Badalona next October 8 and 9 will be held the Paddle Surf Championship of Catalonia, in order to give greater visibility to water activities.
And this event was favored, thanks to the incorporation of the Marina beach, to the spaces of the enclosure. Therefore, the Port will be able to host new aquatic activities in order to promote them.
Saturday, October 8
The championship will start on Saturday, October 8 at 10 a.m. with the first speed trials in the Cortesia dock channel.
The great advantage is that the location offers a perfect visibility of the athletes, who will start in pairs from the finish line located on the floating pontoons, right in the area of the ramp.
Sunday, October 9
On Sunday, the long distance paddle surfing events will take place. These races are structured and divided by the number of kilometers: 4, 8 and 12 respectively and by amateur categories.
If you dare to watch the race, you can also do it from a beach bar on the Marina beach.
Paddle Surf Championship at the Port Badalona
The sporting event seeks that the Port of Badalona bet to give visibility to new water activities, such as sport fishing, sailing, canoeing and rowing. But the competitions don’t stop there.
For the following months, Badalona will hold more events related to water sports. In fact, the next event will be on October 15, where the most adventurous will have the option to try the inflatable Dragon Boat.
Then, during the 28th, 29th and 30th of October for the first time will be held the regatta Golden Race / Trofeu Marina Badalona. A few days later, between November 12 and 13, the Fonejada Fishing Championship of Catalonia will be held.
For canoeing fans, between November 19 and 20, you can watch the Paddle race. At the end of the month (November 26), you will be able to enjoy a batel regatta.
