A beautiful and pleasant green space uphill in the neighborhood of La Salut, are the Menéndez Pelayo Gardens in Barcelona.
This small lung of the city has about 6,000 square meters that offers a different design on inclined planes.
The Gardens were born in 2018 as the culmination of the reform of the Dalt crosswalk in the area located between Escorial streets and Lesseps square.
It is a different design proposal, since it is built on inclined planes connected to each other by adapted ramps.
This integrated the enormous slopes of the terrain to make the park accessible “uphill”.
The structure of the Gardens has sets of stairs, railings and paths that make up a pleasant design and green space in the middle of the city.
You will also find perfect corners to read a good book in peace and quiet or enjoy the views.
Jardines Menéndez Pelayo: a slanting proposal
Los Jardines was the best and the most innovative alternative to solve a problem of interlevel connection that existed in the neighborhood.
The solution became a reality through the architects MC Smart Duty who, with their very vegetal proposal, managed to connect vegetation with people.
This green landscape for the city is adorned with trees and planted flowerbeds.
A whole set of spaces for lovers of quiet and playfulness.
The park has a dog area, a petanque area and two children’s play areas.
Visit him the first chance you get.
