There is a place in Barcelona for those who want to reconnect with their naturalist essence, located at 147 Borrell Street, right between Gran Via and Diputació: Káktos Botanical Society.

This is a new cocktail bar where diners can enjoy classic drinks and the best of the best. signature cocktails with “plant-based liquids”, which can be used to transport them to various places on the planet, such as the Amazon rainforests, the lavender fields of France or Hitsujiyama Park in Japan, among others.

It is worth mentioning that this is a minimalist-looking space that also functions as a hotel for plants. Customers can leave theirs there when they go on vacation and no one can take care of them. But you can also taste cocktails with liquors that have been infused with vertical sprout cultures.

Káktos Botanical Society for nature lovers

Those who want to visit this botanical cocktail bar only have to meet one requirement: share a passion for nature. For this reason, Marcos Fernandez, who is the manager and manager of the site’s event space and gastronomy coordinator, commented that what they are looking for is:

“Trying to bring botany closer to the urban lifestyle with a festive and leisure character.”

On the other hand, on the first weekend of each month, the plant flea market will be held, an event in which the owners of private botanical businesses will have the opportunity to participate. Meanwhile, musical artist Ander Villarejo, will accompany the event with immersive melodies, all through the waves and vibrations of plants.

Unique cocktails for all tastes

Those who go to Káktos can enjoy classic cocktails for €13 and signature cocktails for €12. And you can choose from specialties such as Gin infused with curry or Vodka bathed in mustard, thyme honey, citrus and bubbles. According to bartender Fernández, the first of these -the infused Gin- is the most successful drink in the place. This is because it also has turmeric, lemongrass and other exotic ingredients from Thai food, which makes it taste unique.
