Tomorrow November 12 at 9 a.m., Barcelona is preparing to host one of the most popular and emblematic races in the city: the Cursa de la Dona 2023. This event, which has gathered up to 36,000 runners in previous editions, has as its main objective to make visible the role of women in the world of sports, in addition to being an active support in the fight and prevention against breast cancer.
This year, the race presents a renewed route of 7.7 kilometers. The start will be at Passeig de Pujades, between Nàpols and Wellington streets, and the finish line will be at Passeig de Lluís Companys.
La Cursa de la Dona not only seeks to promote the importance of sport and physical activity among women, but also to raise funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer. In this sense, the race is one of the main initiatives to support the cause and strengthen prevention and support for those fighting against this disease.

Registrations for this event are now open and can be made through a form on the race website. Participation has been limited this year to 30,000 women, although a waiting list will be opened in the event of a sell-out.

Bib pick-up and Runner’s Fair
The Runner’s Fair will be held at the La Mar Bella sports pavilion in Barcelona (Avenida Litoral 86-96). Here, runners will be able to pick up their race bibs and the official Marea Rosa T-shirt, adding to the solidarity of the cause.
It is essential to present the registration confirmation email, the ID card or the registration receipt at the time of pick-up. This year, the race will be held in partnership with the Spanish Association of Metastatic Breast Cancer, under the title ‘+Solidarias’, thus showing their support and commitment to solidarity projects.
La Cursa de la Dona is an event that goes beyond being a race: it is an act of awareness, support and solidarity. An opportunity to make visible the female power in the world of sports and join in a noble and meaningful cause such as the fight against breast cancer.
