La Rambla de Barcelona and the initiative “(Re) discover La Rambla”.
The new edition of “(Re)discover La Rambla” will feature six different itineraries, each focusing on a unique aspect of La Rambla’s history and culture.
Among them, the itinerary “La Rambla cradle of Barcelona’s transport”, which will explore the central role that this famous promenade has played in the development of public transport in the city. From the first carriages and streetcars to the modern transport network, this route will offer a fascinating insight into the past and present of urban mobility in Barcelona.
In addition to the public transportation route, participants will be able to choose from five other themed routes. “Illustrious Visitors on La Rambla” will honor historical figures who left their mark on this place, while “La Rambla. Literary Universe” will explore the influence of this promenade on the work of famous writers.
On the other hand, “The Darkest Rambla” will reveal the mysteries and legends hidden behind the streets of the Raval and the Gòtic, while “La Rambla in Detail” will take participants on a journey through the historical and artistic elements that adorn this iconic promenade.
