With full force, the musicals of legendary films return to the stages of Barcelona this season. Classics such as Ghost, Pretty Woman and Golfus de Roma, are just some of the ones you can admire in the best theaters, where music becomes the favorite character.
This is the best way to remember and relive the past through unforgettable soundtracks that recall moments, times, feelings. The first musical to hit the stage was Ghost, a film originally starring Demi Moore (Molly) and Patrick Swayze (Sam).
This plot now stars David Bustamante, the popular singer from San Vicente de la Barquera who plays Sam and Ana Dachs in the role of Molly.
The musical arrived in Barcelona after two seasons in Madrid. Letsgo was the production company behind the musical, which also staged musicals such as Dirty Dancing, The Bodyguard and The Addams Family.
The play began to be presented on the stages of the Tivoli Theater and the performances will run until November 27, 2022.

Pretty Woman
A 90’s classic like Ghost was followed by another of the same level like Pretty Woman. The musical premieres at El Teatre Apolo and for the first time in Spain, but coming from Broadway, Germany and Italy.
After the Barcelona season, it is expected to arrive in Madrid in September of next year.
Pretty Woman is a musical produced by Smedia and Veniu Fama. The main protagonists are Cristina Llorente and Roger Berruezo playing Vivian and Edward, who in the original film starred Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.
Golfus of Rome
Likewise, and for lovers of comedic works far removed from Hollywood, the Teatro Condal offers Golfus de Roma.
This story tells the life of an irreverent slave (Jordi Bosch), Pseudolus, who seeks his freedom by helping Eros, his master’s son, to win the love of Philia. But Philia has been sold.
Golfus de Roma is a hilarious musical comedy that has won 6 Tony Awards. It is the perfect combination of crazy situations with crazy scenes that take place between songs and musical numbers.
The comic play arrives in the Catalan capital, after a season in Madrid where it had more than one hundred thousand spectators. Starring Carlos Latre and produced by the Focus group and the Mérida Festival, incorporating the Catalan language and under the direction of Daniel Anglès.
Teatro Condal, show in Catalan with a duration of 2 hours and 35 minutes.
