Meliá Hotels International continues its commitment to the city of Barcelona with the reopening of the former Apolo hotel, now transformed into INNSiDE Barcelona Apolo.

With an investment of eight million euros, this is the hotel chain’s third opening in the city in recent months, after the ME by Meliá on Casp street and the announcement of the reopening of the Rey Juan Carlos hotel.

The 314-room hotel has been refurbished to adapt to Meliá’s INNSiDE brand. It is designed for independent travelers on a budget.

The firm responsible for the works was Álvaro Sans Arquitectura Hotelera.

According to the hotel chain, the property has been equipped with a modern and spontaneous atmosphere, which seeks to offer guests a unique experience adapted to their needs.

It also includes eco-friendly in-room amenities, yoga mats, Bluetooth speakers and wireless chargers.

The INNSiDE also has a fitness center and common spaces where guests can work, interact with other guests or shop for local art and craft souvenirs.

The renovation seeks to create an attractive and welcoming atmosphere for guests, allowing them to enjoy a unique stay in the center of Barcelona.

Meliá’s INNSiDE brand has had great success in other European cities such as Madrid, Berlin and Amsterdam. The hotel chain is now seeking to consolidate its presence in Barcelona.

According to the company, the INNSiDE brand focuses on offering guests a modern, functional environment. All designed to meet the needs of today’s travelers.

The INNSiDE Barcelona Apolo’s location in the Paral-lel neighborhood offers guests the possibility to explore some of the city’s most popular tourist attractions.

From there you can see the Montjuïc mountain, the National Palace, the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc and the Liceu theater just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

The INNSiDE Barcelona Apolo joins the wide range of hotels of the Meliá chain in Barcelona. The chain offers everything from four-star hotels to accommodation options for tighter budgets.

Renovation work

The hotel also has a new bar and grab & go service at the front desk, with ready-to-eat dishes open 24 hours a day.

In addition, La Terraza restaurant has created an open area where guests can have breakfast or dinner outdoors.
