Night of magic and melody in Barcelona
The Palau Güell has once again become the epicenter of music and culture with the return of “Les nits del Palau”. This event has established itself as one of the most special and expected in the summer nights of Barcelona. This year, July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 will be transformed into a unique experience on the magical rooftop of the emblematic building. Here, Antoni Gaudí brought the chimneys to life as architectural sculptures, a detail that adds an extra touch of wonder to the atmosphere.
A musical agenda for all tastes
This year’s program is a feast for the senses. With five recitals covering genres ranging from jazz to singer-songwriter music, Palau Güell offers a variety for those looking to enjoy live music in an incomparable setting. The young performers of the Taller de Músics from the Raval neighborhood will be in charge of filling the nights at the Palau with notes and melodies, bringing freshness and talent to each performance.
Every evening, visitors will have the opportunity to take an express tour of the Palau before the concerts. This visit is the perfect preamble to admire the most imposing spaces of the urban residence that Eusebi Güell commissioned from his friend Gaudí. Since its inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1984, the Palau has been an architectural landmark, famous for its innovative use of light and space, as well as for the quality of its materials and decorative details.
Unforgettable concert program
From the depths of jazz to the vibrant notes of rock and roll, each night offers a different experience:
– July 3 / Luna Orleans: A fusion of jazz, Latin and pop music that vibrates with a unique blend of cultures.
– July 10 / Los Bongo Beat: An authentic trip back in time with Afro-American rhythms and rock-and-roll straight from the fifties and sixties.
– July 17 / Aleix Cansell: This pianist transports the audience through improvisation and an intimate sonority.
– July 24 / Lina Bastos: Immerse yourself in Afro-Colombian culture with vocal improvisations and world sonorities.
– July 31 / Júlia Cruz: A combination of electronic and folk music that mixes Catalan, Aragonese and Portuguese influences.
A sensory journey from start to finish
The evening begins at 8:30 pm with a welcome and express tour of the Palau. At 21:15, attendees enjoy the concert and refreshments, culminating the evening beautifully at around 22:45.
The experience is not only a musical and architectural feast, but also aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 4 on “Quality Education”, and SDG 10 aimed at “Reducing Inequalities”.
This event not only celebrates music and culture, but is also committed to a positive social impact, promoting quality education and inclusion. The Diputació de Barcelona reinforces its support to local governments to align their actions towards these global goals.
Images and memories that last
During these evenings, Palau Güell not only provides a feast for the ears and eyes, but also for those moments we wish to capture and keep. Images and videos of the event are available to the media as long as the source is cited, ensuring that the memory of these nights will live on and reach those who were unable to attend.
Barcelona, with its warm nights and vibrant atmosphere, finds in the Palau Güell a haven of melodies and architecture that invites everyone to stop, listen and immerse themselves in an atmosphere that combines the legacy of Gaudí with the talent of new musicians.
