Caua Cacao Roasters: where tradition meets innovation
Located in the heart of Barcelona, Caua Cacao Roasters (C/ del Consell de Cent, 279) is the newest family project that seeks to revolutionize the way we enjoy chocolate. Inspired by the rich history of cocoa in the city, the Alegre family has created a space where authenticity and health merge in every cup of chocolate. Offering varieties ranging from 32% to 100%, mixed with water or lactose-free milk, this chocolate maker partners with small producers in Ecuador, Peru, Tanzania and the Philippines. In addition, they collaborate with Ivan Pascual, winner of the World Chocolate Master 2018, to guarantee the highest quality in every sip.
Badiani: fusing tradition and innovation in a cup of hot chocolate
The renowned Badiani ice cream parlor, with more than 90 years of experience, brings its expertise in hot chocolate to Barcelona. At their Rosselló street location (C/ del Rosselló, 232), they offer a unique version of hot chocolate with cream, chocolate shavings and pistachio sauce. This innovative combination, created by Paolo Pomposi, co-founder of Badiani, is the perfect accompaniment to traditional churros or to enjoy with an artisan ice cream. Chök, known as “the chocolate kitchen”, is a unique pastry shop where cocoa is the protagonist in every product. Founded by Fernando Madrid, the bakery specializes in gluten-free delicacies ranging from cinnamon rolls to cronuts. With establishments not only in Barcelona (Av. Diagonal, 208), but all over the world, Chök seeks to replace sugar with chocolate, promoting the latter as an essential gastronomic element.
