NetEase Games, the renowned Chinese video game company, has taken a significant step in its international expansion by opening a new studio in Barcelona.

With the opening of Anchor Point Studios, NetEase Games establishes its first studio in Spain and its third in Europe, joining its headquarters in Paris and Manchester.
The studio currently has a staff of 10 employees in Barcelona and plans to hire approximately 50 more professionals in the coming years.
In addition, the company also has offices in Seattle, USA. It employs a total of 20 people globally, including remote workers located in different countries such as Finland, Norway and Vietnam.
Since its launch in October 2022, Anchor Point Studios has been working on the development of its first video game.
Although studio officials have kept most of the details about this new product under wraps, they have revealed that the prototype was completed in January and is currently in the testing phase.
Anchor Point Studios’ ambitious goal is not limited to its growth in Barcelona.
The company plans to reach 100 employees worldwide in the next few years. It is also looking for talented developers, technical artists and designers to join its offices, either on-site or remotely.
By 2023, the studio’s workforce is expected to reach 35 employees in total.
