The Passaport de Natura is a free document that the Barcelona Zoo made available to Zoo Club members. The objective is to raise awareness about biodiversity care and provide exclusive access to the activities carried out within the facilities.
The activities aim to sensitize attendees and invite them to understand what modern zoos do to protect nature.
In a joint communiqué between the Barcelona City Council, Barcelona Serveis Municipals (B:SM) and the Zoo, they stated that the Passaport is available to the more than 80,000 members of the Zoo Club.
Zoo Club members can pick up the document directly at the club office. The best part is that the Passaport itself comes with a welcome pack. It is important that you reserve your place through the Barcelona Zoo website.
Activities with the Passaport de Natura
The Zoo will carry out several activities. They have an average duration of 30 to 40 minutes and will provide information about habitats, animal species and the role they play in nature.
The membership outreach program will be conducted under the theme “Discovering the Zoo”. Each activity is associated with a level of expertise and when completed, the Zoo team stamps the passport until the member achieves the status of nature expert.
On the Zoo’s website you can check each week’s activities.
