The New Year’s Eve Party in Montjuïc
With this announcement, the Barcelona City Council will seek to recover for 2022 the New Year’s Eve show and party on Avenida Maria Cristina, in order to bring friends and family together again after two years without celebrations.
The festivity of December 31 in Montjuïc could return with the traditional musical and pyrotechnic “show” with the Font Màgica.
That night thousands of people, locals and tourists who visit the city on that date and do not want to miss the celebration of the 12 chimes, are expected to attend.
Finally, normality returns after two years of fireworks being seen from some of the city’s balconies or on television.
Last year it was intended to hold the festival, but the health crisis worsened just days before the holiday and therefore it was not possible to convene it.
It is expected that this year it will be possible to celebrate with all the joy, music, lights and color to welcome 2023.
