In the ranking World’s 50 Best Bars 2022 edition, Paradiso and Sips cocktail bars from Barcelona won the best awards.
They took first and third place, respectively, in the awards that distinguish the best cocktail bars in the world.
It should be noted that the Paradiso bar in Barcelona had obtained the third position last year. But in the 2022 version of the awards it managed to overtake London bar Tayer + Elementary, which had won second place in 2021 and repeated the same position this year.
Paradiso also overtook Barcelona’s Sips, which impressively moved from 37th place in 2021 to third in the 2022 edition.
Thus, Barcelona is the best venue as the cocktail capital of the world for its winners and for having hosted this year’s The World’s 50 Best Bars.
But the list of Barcelona’s award winners does not stop there. In seventh place was another bar in the Catalan capital. This is Two Schmucks.
And the 15th position went to Salmon Guru from Madrid.

The announcement of the award winners took place on October 4 at around 10:00 p.m. The awards were announced on October 4.
All in the midst of a spectacular and lively gala held at La Cúpula in the Las Arenas shopping center in Barcelona.
This is the first time in the history of the awards that the winner is not from London or New York. In that edition, an unusual place in El Born took the top prize.
At the ceremony amidst euphoria and joy, singing and dancing, Paradiso was also chosen as The Best Bar in Europe and, of course, The World’s Best Bar.
Meanwhile, the Sips bar on Muntaner street, very proud winner of third place, received the Nikka Highest Climber award. He received this recognition for being the local company that has made a significant leap from 37th place (2021) to third place (2022).
During the gala, Mark Sansom, director of content for The World’s 50 Best Bars, indicated that Paradiso best showcases the tremendous accomplishments of Margarita, Giacomo and their work group since 2017 when they were named One To Watch, just one year into the bar’s opening.
Its victory in The World’s Best Bar is due to the human talent and Paradiso’s extravagant cocktail offerings. To its sustainable ethics and sense of fun.
Sansom added that “Barcelona is one of the most cosmopolitan destinations in the world of cocktails”.
Elisa Gregori, global business director of Perrier (main sponsor), said they were honored to support Barcelona in the organization of this outstanding ceremony.
Proudly, Barcelona is home to the best cocktail bar in the world.
