The World’s 50 Best Bars awards gave the distinction to Paradiso cocktail bar in Barcelona, as the third best bar in the world.
The list published in mid-December also included two other bars in Barcelona: in 11th place the bar “Two Schmucks” (informal and refined atmosphere) and in 37th place the bar “Sips” (pure ethics and aesthetics).
The 24th place was occupied by the bar “Salmon Guru” located in Madrid.
The success of Paradiso cocktail bar is based on two reasons: first, its cocktail offer is very good and second, the price. In fact, a classic dry martini is the cheapest (9 euros) and the most expensive ones are worth 15 euros.
These are comfortable prices and Paradiso has no plans to raise them. In general, they are affordable drinks with which they apply avant-garde techniques.
One of them is the “Supercooling” method and the Celler de Can Roca, which makes its cocktails something different and exquisite. They were ranked third in the ranking for a reason.
Another success factor is the ambiance of the place: it is the perfect blend of quality, informality and excellence.
Paradiso has a nice decoration and design, not to mention that behind the bar there are six cocktail experts putting on quite a show.
The third best bar in the world: a cocktail bar for the 21st century
It is even prouder to see that renowned Spanish establishments occupied four of the 50 distinguished places in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2021.
In previous years our country had not been so successful in these awards. But in the latest 2021 edition in London, one of the four bars, Paradise, managed to place in the top 12.
The Paradiso cocktail bar in Barcelona (Carrer de Rera Palau, 4), is the best bar proposal of the XXI century. Its striking décor accompanied by majestic curved wooden panels on the front bar, are striking to visitors.
And what to say about the menu. All this teamwork allowed them to develop the “Universe menu” that lights up in the dark.
The drinks on the menu are very special and full of surprises, such as the Space Colada or the Negroni Volcano, served next to a small volcano erupting with dry ice.
On the podium of the best of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2021 edition were two London bars. First place went to the “Connaught Bar” (for the second year in a row), with an “Italian accent”.
Second place went to “Tayēr + Elementary”, a casual place where they prepare cocktails in seconds thanks to their barrel system. The bar has its own brands of beer and wine.
It’s good for Barcelona to have the third best bar in the world in the same city.
Paradiso: Carrer de Rera Palau, 4, Barcelona.
