The theater company Parking Shakespeare has announced the staging of Shakespeare’s tragedy, “Ricard III”, at the Estació del Nord park in Barcelona. This outdoor theatrical event will run from July 7 to July 30, 2023, with the exception of Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Best of all, admission will be free, although voluntary donations will be accepted.

Directed by Carla Torres, the play presents a unique adaptation of “Ricard III” turned into a comedy.

In this edition, the main character, Ricard, suffers bullying at his school because of his physical appearance, and his only support is Bufó, a young homeless migrant who is marginalized by the system. This version of the tragedy addresses issues such as beauty standards and social pressure.
