Fast-food chicken arrived in Barcelona with the opening of Popeyes, the first fast-food restaurant in the city owned by Burger King.
The chain, which specializes in chicken, arrived in the Catalan capital after its success in Madrid.
The secret of this restaurant’s success in Spain is its commitment to 100% fresh chicken, with animal welfare certification and sourced from Spanish farms.
And also to its preparation: the chicken is marinated for 12 hours in spices, following to the letter the recipe from Louisiana (United States). It is then battered daily by hand in the chain’s restaurants.
