Through the Shop “Buo” platform, you will be able to make collective purchases with good savings percentages. You can save up to 40% on basic and grocery purchases.
This grocery shopping platform was created by Pulpo, a Barcelona-based startup that specializes in offering discounts on music, phone and streaming subscriptions.
Group purchasing involves changes in distribution logistics that help to save money.
Thanks to the discounts offered by “Buo”, it has become the cheapest supermarket in Spain and even in Europe.
How “Buo” works
The platform allows online shopping by accessing its website (online supermarket).
After placing your order, you will be able to pick it up within two days at one of the 20 pick-up points in Barcelona.
The products you select are divided into groups that you or another user create.
Initially, each group is made up of two people, but in the future more members are expected to be added for greater savings.
The company explains that there is a group for each product and at closing, an average 40% discount is applied to customers.
However, the discount percentage varies according to the product and its profit margin.
The startup aims for customers to discover this savings method so that they can join with their acquaintances, fill out groups and generate discounts more quickly.
Buo was born a year ago in Barcelona, offers savings of up to 75% on different products and has more than 80,000 users.
