Since last October 22, the filming of “The Crown” resumed in Barcelona. The new scenes, which are part of the sixth season of the Netflix series, were filmed in the Francesc Macià square in the Catalan capital.
It should be recalled that they were interrupted after the death of Queen Elizabeth II of England.
In this regard, it is worth mentioning that some twenty cars, several motorcycles, a bus of the time and a typical Parisian kiosk were some of the elements used in the setting of the place. In this way, the production managed to turn the Barcelona street into a boulevard of the French capital and bring to life the policemen in the scene with extras that characterized them.
Specifically, the set of scenes with which filming resumed were those featuring a replica of the car in which Lady Di died in Paris in 1997. Also recreated was the paparazzi chase of the princess who in the series is played by actress Elizabeth Debicki.

The filming has brought and will bring effects on the proper and fluid circulation of traffic in a part of the Francesc Macià square. In particular, in the uphill lane of Pau Casals Avenue, as well as in some sections of the nearby streets.
During October 23, several recordings were also made late into the night.

The actresses that are part of the generational change in the series
During the series, three actresses have impersonated the queen during the series, in order to be able to represent her changes over time. They are Claire Foy, Olivia Colman and Imelda Staunton.
The most recent is Staunton, who has been playing her majesty in the fifth season of the series in the episodes already recorded.
