Barcelona dresses up to recognize excellence in the world of commerce with the National Commerce Awards 2022, an event organized by the Consorci de Comerç Artesania i Moda.
On this occasion, several establishments have been distinguished, highlighting the diversity and innovation present in the Catalan commercial scene.
Droguería Rovira: award-winning centenary trajectory
Droguería Rovira, located on Madrazo street in the Galvany neighborhood (Sarrià-Sant Gervasi), has won the prestigious Premi Nacional de Comerç 2022, an award that comes with a prize of 6,000 euros.
This award not only celebrates the quality and variety of the products it offers, but also highlights its “vocation of service, with a constant involvement in relations between businesses and neighborhood organizations”.
Founded in 1910, Droguería Rovira has managed to preserve its identity over the years, becoming a commercial reference thanks to its specialized advice and a wide range of more than 30,000 references.
The history of this establishment, now managed by the fourth generation of the same family, is an example of how adapting to changes in consumer and shopping habits can lead to success over time.
Mariposa Negra Bar: innovation and originality in the cocktail industry
The Most Innovative Commerce Award has been given to Mariposa Negra Bar in Barcelona, located in Plaça de les Olles, next to Pla de Palau.
This unique establishment, inspired by the novel “Marina” by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, has stood out for its creativity in the design of its glasses using 3D technology and ceramics.
This award, which includes an endowment of 2,000 euros, is a well-deserved recognition of originality and ingenuity applied to the signature cocktail experience.
The Mariposa Negra Bar had already been awarded in 2023 at the municipal level for its innovation, consolidating itself as a reference in the field of creative cocktails.
Special recognition at the National Trade Awards
In addition to the main awards, the event also awarded special recognitions and highlighted initiatives committed to sustainability and the promotion of local commerce.
The Most Sustainable Commerce Award was presented to Suela-Ràpid, from Mollerussa (Lleida), for its commitment to recycling and sustainability.
On the other hand, the Collective Initiative Award went to Vic Shopping Magazine (VSM) of Vic Comerç, a project focused on promoting local commerce and with the participation of 170 establishments.
The gala was also an opportunity to pay tribute to iconic figures of Catalan commerce. Joan Bayén ‘Pinotxo’, owner of the Pinotxo bar in Barcelona, who died in April last year, has been posthumously recognized.
