Just on the eve of the Epiphany parade in Barcelona, the weather in the city will take a sharp turn from “spring-like” weather to lower temperatures and rain.
After temperatures of more than 20°C at midday, the Three Wise Men’s Day arrived with winter and the presence of the polar wave.
In principle, the January 5 parade could be spared from precipitation, but not from the cold in the city and the entire metropolitan area.
According to Aemet it is likely that rains and low temperatures will be recorded during the early hours of Thursday, January 6, as well as showers during the morning of this day.
But with cold and with all the precautions for the omicron variant, the parade of the Three Kings will take place tonight, as planned.
Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar will travel the streets in floats and without candy. This year, as a precaution, the Kings will not throw candy to the public.
Three Kings Cavalcade: everyone dressed warmly
For today in Barcelona, the temperature is expected not to exceed 15ºC and a minimum of 10°C, due to the polar wave that will become more severe in the coming days.
This year the parade route will be the same as in past years. It will start at the Ciutadella Park around 6:15 p.m. and will end around 9:00 p.m. on Avenida de la Reina Maria Cristina.
Remember to wear a mask and keep a safe distance.
