The Torre Salvana or better known as the Castle of Hell, is a fortress of the tenth century, located in Santa Coloma del Cervelló, next to the historical complex of Colonia Güell. It is well known because it is associated with paranormal events and is one of the most popular places to visit in Catalonia.
Many, locals and tourists, visit the Tower seeking to experience and verify the presence of paranormal entities. Several say that they have succeeded and even affirm that they would never return to the castle for anything in the world.
The nickname “Castle of Hell” refers to what is unleashed within its walls when the phenomena manifest themselves. They claim that the Torre Salvana is the place in Catalonia where rare paranormal phenomena are evident, even surpassing those of the Hospital del Tórax itself.
Experiences at the Torre Salvana
There are several accounts of what happens in this place told by people who have visited it. Some say that psychophonic inclusions or voice phenomena or sounds of electronic origin that are recorded on audio recorders are captured at the site.
Others claim that they saw a kind of black, viscous and dense smoke appear, entering through a window and disappearing in the same wall, but then flying over their heads.
Others report hearing loud rhythmic beats lasting approximately one minute. Some associated it with a few strokes of a cane that marked the same rhythm, but others said it sounded like the galloping of a horse.
They say that people want to know everything when they go into the castle. But as fast as possible, because the sensation is very strange. The atmosphere that is perceived makes the visitor enter to know more out of curiosity, but to leave the place as soon as possible.
Some visitors report that on several occasions they felt as if something grabbed them or grabbed them by the arm. Others, more daring, say that in an enclosed room, a stone shot out at high speed towards the people who were practicing Ouija.
They also say that while they were inside, visitors saw a wall light up yellowish and then several silhouettes of monks began to parade in the form of whitish shadows.
