Visit the Fabra Observatory at night with the children

In the middle of the night a gigantic telescope and more than 116 years of history will open the doors to a world of magic and majesty. Nights are the best time to visit with your family the Fabra Observatory, a jewel of Barcelona. At 415 meters above sea level you will be able to see the sky and beyond the stars, as well as the best views of the city.

For locals and visitors alike, the Observatory has become an obligatory visit, and no wonder. Property of the Royal Academy of Sciences and Arts of Barcelona, in 2014 it was declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest for its legacy and trajectory.

Since 1904, experts have been studying the climate, the cosmos and earthquakes there, thanks to powerful tools such as the gigantic refracting telescope that began operating that same year.

The astronomical experience at the Fabra Observatory

It really is an excellent plan where leisure and culture combine to welcome the whole family. You can visit this space near the Collserola mountain range on Fridays and Saturdays to enter the distant stars.

The visit begins when the Observatory opens its doors. On Saturdays, for example, it welcomes you and your companions with a glass of champagne or fruit juice and ends with an observation of the Moon, the Alcyone star system or the Orion Nebula. An unmissable plan where you will be accompanied by an expert guide with whom you will learn a lot about astronomy.

Evening visit and glass of wine or fruit juice on Saturday. Includes guided tour and telescope observation. The entrance fee is from 7,50€ for adults.

You can choose the date and time according to what you want to buy. The visit is open to all audiences, including the languages in which the tour is given. On Friday in Spanish and Catalan and on Saturday in Spanish, English and Catalan.
