Wide cultural offer of Barcelona's museums this summer

One of the most outstanding proposals is the Sala Barcelona cycle, which will take place at the Castell de Montjuïc. From June to September, this emblematic venue will host concerts by artists such as Queralt Lahoz, Socunbohemio, Júlia Colom and Rombo.

In addition to live music, the castle also offers games for the whole family, guided tours of the mountain and the interesting visit “Repressió, atac i defensa, Del procés de Montjuïc a la guerra civil”.

Another space that adds to the musical offer is the Monestir de Pedralbes, which will host the cycle “Vespres musicals” during the month of July.

In addition, the cloister of the monastery can be visited free of charge every Tuesday and Friday in summer during “The Magic Hour”.

Music is also combined with history at the Museu d’Història de Barcelona, which presents the cycle “Música, dona i ciutat”. This proposal includes four concerts and three film screenings.

The CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona) invites us to enjoy the cycle “Simfonies de la ciutat”. This event will screen seven films created by women filmmakers in 2022.

Cultural offer of the museums of Barcelona

At the Born Centre de Cultura i Memòria, they will open the doors of Arts & Born, a summer house where children can travel through time and experience history through the art of movement, interpretation and the gaze.

The Museu Etnològic offers the opportunity to discover the museum’s exhibitions through activities such as puppets, mask workshops and treasure hunts. And at the Museu Picasso, in addition to a show to approach the artist’s work, there will be a family workshop “Històries d’estiu” around the exhibition “Carmen Calvo”.

Summer in Barcelona: synonymous with art and culture

The Fundació Joan Miró, the Museu de la Música and the Museu Marítim are some of the museums that offer these visits dedicated to children.

But it’s not just the kids who have opportunities for learning and fun this summer. For those interested in training in the artistic field, the Fabra i Coats hosts the summer school of artistic training and research Can Mamella.

From July 6 to 14, participants will be able to immerse themselves in artistic practice and explore different languages and techniques.

If you are more of a competitor, you can’t miss the seventh edition of the Quiz Summer Tour. This team quiz game takes place on Wednesdays between June 28 and July 26 at five different museums.
