Barcelona once again delights its inhabitants and visitors with the second edition of Sons de Ciutat. This innovative program, which extends over six months during the spring season, promises to fill the city’s streets, squares, stores and markets with the melody of live music.
From October 1 through March 31, 2024, Sons de Ciutat offers a wide variety of small-format concerts at various locations in the city’s ten districts.
With a repertoire covering styles as diverse as jazz, funk, classical music, rock, folk and even opera, Sons de Ciutat’s main objective is to bring live music to all corners of Barcelona.
This program, promoted by the Department of Economy and Economic Promotion of the Barcelona City Council, not only seeks to enrich the cultural life of the city, but also to boost economic and commercial activity.
With almost a hundred participating artists and around two hundred scheduled performances, Sons de Ciutat has become an engine for the promotion of local commercial centers and markets.
Sons de Ciutat and its three live music seasons
Sons de Ciutat is divided into three concert seasons: the first in autumn, from October to November; a special Christmas program, between December and January; and the spring season, which runs from February to March.
Each of these seasons offers a unique opportunity to enjoy live music at different times of the year and in different venues throughout the city.
The success of Sons de Ciutat would not be possible without the collaboration of various festivals, professional associations, music training centers and other musical agents in the city.
From Sónar and Primavera Labels to the Conservatori Superior del Liceu and the Fundació Ópera a Catalunya, these collaborations enrich the musical offer and guarantee an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

Every Saturday at 12 noon, Barcelona is transformed into a vibrant stage where music is the protagonist. From concerts in emblematic squares to performances in local markets, Sons de Ciutat offers a varied and exciting calendar for all live music lovers.
With artists such as Mogambo Live, Corda lírica, River Omelet and Marta Duran, among others, the program promises to surprise and thrill all attendees.
