The Barcelona Chamber of Commerce has carried out a significant transformation of its central offices located on Avenida Diagonal, with the aim of attracting more companies.
Following an investment of four million euros, more than 5,000 square meters will be available for rent, offering shared workspaces and meeting rooms.
This project, called HUB Cambra, has been driven by the government team that took office in 2019, currently led by Mònica Roca and previously by Joan Canadell, who moved to Catalan politics mid-term.
The building has ten floors, six of which will be allocated to companies with a strong interest in locating on Avenida Diagonal.
These spaces, previously used for corporate offices, will now be reconfigured to include a coworking facility with flexible and private spaces, individual videoconferencing rooms, meeting rooms and event rooms.
In the meantime, the corporation’s offices will be concentrated on three floors, awaiting its new headquarters in 22@.
Taking advantage of this reorganization, the Cambra will also adopt a more open structure, with co-working spaces and meeting rooms available for use.
The tenth floor, previously occupied by the president and his team, will be opened to the entire building, along with its terrace, which will house a restaurant.
The Cambra de Comerç de Barcelona becomes a HUB to attract more companies
Prices for renting space at the Diagonal headquarters will vary according to the needs of each company. Prices range from 160 euros per month for a shared work area to 300 euros per month if you wish to have your own desk and domicile your company.
If you need a private office with two desks, the price starts at 900 euros per month. For those who require a more economical option, for 80 euros you will be able to book shared workspaces and meeting rooms on an ad hoc basis.
In addition to offering space for companies, the Cambra will provide a range of services aimed at improving their competitiveness.
These services include internationalization and innovation support, financing and technology feasibility studies. In addition, incubation, acceleration, growth and investment forum programs will be offered.
Cambra de Comerç de Barcelona transforms itself
Transformation work began more than a year ago and is expected to be completed between September and October. As different plants have been completed, some spaces have already been occupied by new companies.
Among the companies already installed is Altostratus Cloud Consulting, a cloud services company with clients such as Google. Barcelona Oberta, Comertia and the Asociación Nacional de Centrales de Compra y Servicios (ANCECO) have also moved in.
