Barcelona de Serveis Municipals, B:SM, the municipal company in charge of managing the towing service in the city, announced that for 2023 in Barcelona the municipal towing rates that have already been charged during 2022 will be maintained.
Thus, if the municipal tow truck takes your car next year, you will have to pay a 173 euro fee together with the value charged for the time spent in the depot.
While the crane fee will not go up compared to the 2022 rates, it will not go down either despite the crisis and skyrocketing inflation.
In Barcelona, municipal towing rates remain unchanged
The issue is that by 2023, violators will continue to pay the already established rates.
In that order of ideas, the offenders in addition to the 173 euros to be able to recover the car, will have to pay 2.50 euros for each hour that the vehicle is in the deposit or 25 euros for each day it spends in the facilities of Barcelona de Serveis Municipals. And if the car spends months there, for each month the deposit is 250 euros.
What B:SM does not specify is whether the value to be paid when a bicycle, motorcycle or similar is towed away is the same value paid by a truck or bus.
The only guidance is that rates will not go up for next year and prices will be the same as at present.
To withdraw a motorcycle you must pay 77 euros; if it is a scooter or a bicycle 51 euros.
For trucks or coaches the value is 49 euros.
In the case of motorcycles, by 2020 the towing fee grew by 27%.
