MiiN Cosmetics: Korean cosmetics expands from Barcelona

MiiN Cosmetics, the successful Korean cosmetics brand, is conquering the European market from its base in Barcelona.

Founded by entrepreneur Lilin Yang in 2014, the company has just opened a flagship store of over 400 square meters on Balmes Street, marking an important milestone in its expansion.

The new MiiN Cosmetics store, located in an emblematic location in the city, has become a driving force to increase the visibility and notoriety of the brand.

Until now, MiiN Cosmetics had 14 points of sale in Spain, including Madrid, Bilbao, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza and Barcelona, as well as European cities such as Paris, Milan and Munich.

The company’s ambitious goal is to open ten more stores in Spain and Italy in the coming months and to close the year with a network of 24 stores and a turnover of 17 million euros.

This growth would represent an increase of 70% over the previous year, when the company had a turnover of 10 million.

However, MiiN Cosmetics is not stopping there and has bold plans for the future, aiming to reach 100 outlets by 2028, which would increase its current turnover tenfold.

MiiN Cosmetics from Barcelona to the World

The founder, Lilin Yang, is of Chinese origin and found in Barcelona the ideal place to build her business project. Since the beginning, MiiN Cosmetics has become a benchmark for Korean brands seeking to enter the European market.

Exclusively importing up to 30 leading brands from Korea, the company not only sells in its own stores, but also to other important chains in the sector such as Sephora or Douglas.

This B2B (wholesale) approach represents about 35% of MiiN Cosmetics’ sales, complemented by direct-to-consumer (B2C) sales in its physical stores and its online store, which is available in most European countries.

Korean cosmetics has gained popularity in Europe and MiiN Cosmetics has capitalized on this boom with its strategic approach and wide range of high-quality Korean products.

The company offers more than 500 references of 32 Korean brands in its new flagship store, with prices accessible to the general public.

Other services offered by MiiN Cosmetics

MiiN Cosmetics’ flagship store on Balmes Street not only focuses on selling products, but has also become a space for providing services, such as cosmetic treatments and soon manicure and pedicure services.

Yang has a vision to turn this flagship store into the “Korean Beauty House” of reference in the EU.

With a staff of one hundred employees and corporate headquarters in Barcelona, MiiN Cosmetics has established itself as a benchmark in the beauty industry in Europe.
