With an average value of 10 euros, access to Barcelona’s municipal swimming pools, one of the most expensive in Spain, was opened.
And it’s all because summer is approaching and temperatures are rising every day. As a result, many of the municipal outdoor pools are already open and others will be open very soon.
This year the issue is that the entrance fee has increased.
In this regard, the Barcelona City Council confirmed that the cost of the admission ticket for adults is 10 euros. This is 4.7% more compared to 2021.

And the differences in access prices between pools are evident. In fact, the cheapest outdoor pool in the city is the one at CEM Guinardó, whose entrance fee is 6.18 euros.
The most expensive ticket is for CEM Parc de la Ciutadella, which costs 16.42 euros. A difference of 10.24 euros.
To set prices, the facility managers make the first proposal. It then passes through the filter of Institut Barcelona Esport, IBE and the final rate is set by the municipal government commission.
During this summer, 14 outdoor swimming pools will be open. Two have already opened and the rest will be available before June 25, 2022.

- CEM Sant Sebastià Plaça del Mar, 1. Entrance fee 13,67 euros, open from 1/4 to 30/10.
- There are two free swimming pool alternatives: the Fòrum bathing area and Prospe Beach.
