The city of Barcelona is getting ready to receive one of the most anticipated events of the year: Dau Barcelona Festival del Juego at Fabra i Coats.
This festival, which is celebrating its twelfth edition, is much more than just a gathering of games; it is a celebration of culture, fun and social interaction.
On November 18 and 19, 2023, the Sant Andreu site, with Fabra i Coats as its epicenter, will be filled with games, from the traditional to the most modern.

Fabra i Coats: the world of gambling
The festival is an initiative of the Institute of Culture of Barcelona and seeks to explore “the cultural richness hidden in the world of games”.
It aims to provide an opportunity for people to connect through play and enjoy Barcelona as the international capital of gaming and culture.
The festival’s curator, Oriol Crespo, highlights the importance of this celebration that promotes fun, interaction and culture.
One of the key artists in the promotion of the festival is Natàlia Romero, known for her experience in the world of video games and board games.
Programming
The festival kicks off with an exciting Awards Gala on November 17 at the Sant Andreu Teatre. At this gala, awards are given to outstanding personalities in the world of games, the best author of the year, the best new author of the year and the best illustrator of the year.

Dau Barcelona is divided into different sections, offering a wide range of activities for all tastes. One of the most outstanding spaces is the “Gran Dau”, where visitors can learn about both classic and newly created games.
There is also nighttime fun: “Dau de nit” gives them the opportunity to play all night long. The third floor of Fabra i Coats is transformed into an uninterrupted play area, where game lovers can enjoy themselves until the sun comes up.
