Several women from Barcelona were awarded at the Top 100 Women Leaders in Spain gala held in mid-February at the Teatro Real in Madrid.
They are the most “top” women awarded in different categories thanks to their leadership, work and trajectory in different fields.
The gala was organized by Atresmedia and magasIN of EL ESPAÑOL, where they recognized the work that several women born in Barcelona perform successfully on a daily basis.
The ranking in women’s leadership: Barcelona’s female award winners
Enriqueta Felip and Mercè Boada
They are two of the most recognized doctors in the field of medicine in Barcelona. One of them is Enriqueta Felip, specialist in Medical Oncology at the Vall d’Hebron Hospital and Head of the Thoracic, Head and Neck Tumors Unit. She is also a researcher and clinical director of the Thoracic Cancer Research Program at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology in Barcelona.
The other prominent woman is Mercè Boada y Rovira, a neurologist and co-founder of the ACE Foundation, a private non-profit organization dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, research and support of people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families.
Alexia Putellas
Barça player received recognition in the Sports category for her great career and performance in the FC Barcelona women’s team. He has also been a member of the senior national team since 2013. In 2021 she received the Ballon d’Or award for the best player in the world and in January 2022 she won The Best FIFA Award in 2021.
Eva Moll de Alba
Awarded in the category of Startups and SMEs. Moll is a director of Grupo de Medios Global, GMG, a group comprising Metrópoli Abierta, Crónica Global and other media. Founder and director of Vegueta, a publishing house that publishes fiction titles and illustrated stories for children and young people.
Rosa Tous
Rosa is one of the owners of Tous, the Spanish jewelry, accessories and fashion brand. The most famous in Spain. She was the brand’s Director of Institutional Relations and later Corporate Vice President, a position in which Rosa has received several distinctions for her work on behalf of her family and the company.
Sandra Barneda
Journalist, writer and host of reality shows such as Isla de las Tentaciones on Telecinco. Finalist of the Planeta Prize 2020 with her novel “Un océano para llegar a ti”. Author of the books Reír al Viento, Hijas del Agua, La Tierra de las Mujeres and Hablarán de Nosotras.
Sol Daurella, another of the outstanding women from Barcelona
Sol Daurella is a Catalan and Spanish business executive. She is president of Coca-Cola European Partners. Likewise, since November 2014, she has been a Director of Banco Santander, the first bank in the Eurozone and is Honorary Consul of Iceland.
