The vibrant atmosphere of the Feria de Abril 2024 is flooding the streets of Barcelona. The 51st edition of this emblematic event began at the Parc del Fòrum on April 26 and will run until May 5.
Organized by the Federation of Andalusian Cultural Entities in Catalonia (FECAC), this annual celebration promises nine days full of music, dance, gastronomy and Andalusian tradition.
One of the most outstanding novelties this year is the increase in seating capacity, which now reaches 31,000 people, 24% more than in previous years. This expansion reflects the growing popularity of the Feria de Abril in Barcelona and the increasing demand from attendees.

April Fair 2024: culture and tradition
The heart of the fair will be in the Parc del Fòrum, where more than 100 booths will be set up offering a wide variety of food, drink and typical Andalusian products. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy authentic Andalusian cuisine, as well as live flamenco shows and traditional music.
In addition to the booths, the Feria de Abril will have a “village area” dedicated to the restoration, where attendees can enjoy outdoor meals in a relaxed and relaxed atmosphere.
There will also be two booths dedicated to support the candidacy of the Catalan rumba as Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, with children’s workshops and concerts of this musical genre.
The fun won’t stop at food and music, as the fair will also feature 125 rides located on the Marine Zoo Platform. From thrilling rides to family-friendly entertainment, there will be something for all tastes and ages.
Portico lighting
One of the most anticipated moments of the fair was the lighting of the entrance portico, which took place in front of the Museum of Natural Sciences of the Forum. This event marked the official start of the fair, it was an impressive show and free for all attendees.
To reach the fairgrounds, visitors can use public transportation, with options that include the metro, bus and streetcar. The nearest metro stop is El Maresme| Fòrum on line L4, while several bus lines and the T1 streetcar line also have stops near the Parc del Fòrum.
This year’s Feria de Abril poster, designed by the talented artist María del Carmen Longobardo Vela, combines elements of flamenco culture with the iconic architecture of Barcelona, represented by Antoni Gaudí’s Casa Batllò. This unique design captures the essence of the fair and reflects the fusion of cultures that makes it so special.
